Feronex is the parent group of Sam Salar Pars, Sepehrdad Steel and Namvaran Hormoz. We bring manufacturing, metallurgical materials supply and commercial development together under one group.

Our three organizations contribute complementary capabilities across the materials supply chain. From cold briquette manufacturing to ferroalloys, steel products and global trading, Feronex connects production knowledge with commercial expertise.

Meet our organizations

Our organizations

Three organizations.
One Feronex.

Feronex owns three organizations with distinct roles in manufacturing, materials supply and commercial development.

Cold briquette manufacturing

Sam Salar Pars

Our CBI manufacturing company, with production operations in Yazd and experience in materials for the steel industry.

Ferroalloys & steel products

Sepehrdad Steel

Contributes ferroalloy and steel product capabilities through production and export activities.

Commercial development & global trading

Namvaran Hormoz

Brings commercial development and global trading activities into the Feronex group.

Our industrial foundations

Production experience
within Feronex.

Our industrial foundations include Sam Salar Pars, established in 2007, before Feronex was formed as the parent group. Its CBI operations began in Yazd in 2018, with annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes.

One of our production capabilities

CBI production
within Feronex.

Through Sam Salar Pars, our production capabilities include cold briquetted iron: a compact, iron-bearing input for steelmaking and an alternative source of iron units alongside scrap. We discuss product specifications and handling requirements around each application.

Physical strength

A consolidated form with physical resistance for handling and movement through the supply chain.

Oxidation resistance

Oxidation and decomposition resistance are among the product characteristics considered when specifying CBI.

Metal content

Retention of metal content is a key consideration when selecting an iron-bearing feedstock.

Storage & transport

The compact form offers practical storage and transport advantages compared with DRI, subject to the agreed handling conditions.

Manufacturing expertise

Our group brings together Sam Salar Pars's cold briquette manufacturing and Sepehrdad Steel's ferroalloy and steel product activities. Production knowledge helps us discuss materials around the needs of your operation.

Commercial supply & trade

Namvaran Hormoz contributes commercial development and global trading alongside the group's materials supply and export activities. Feronex brings these capabilities together for customers.

Responsible use of materials

Keep useful materials
in the production cycle.

Within Feronex, Sam Salar Pars's briquetting experience is one example of putting material recovery into practice. Suitable iron-bearing fines and by-products can return to steel production, helping retain useful material in the production cycle.

Consolidate suitable fines

DRI and DRI fines can be consolidated into briquettes, giving fine iron-bearing material a form that can be considered for reuse.

Assess industrial by-products

Mill scale, selected slags, dusts and sludges are potential briquetting feedstocks. Their chemistry and contaminants need assessment before reuse.

Return compatible material

Returning suitable recovered material to production can conserve useful iron units and reduce demand for primary raw materials. Suitability depends on the feedstock and process.

A useful starting point

Tell us about
your process.

Talk to Feronex about our four product lines: DRI briquettes, carbon briquettes, ferroalloys, and carbon products with custom sourcing. These practical details help us focus the conversation.

  1. Material & application

Name the product and intended application. Include the required chemistry or an available material analysis.

  2. Quantity & delivery

Share the order quantity, destination, preferred packing and delivery schedule.

  3. Chemistry & handling

Include chemical limits, size preferences, storage conditions and any handling requirements to discuss with the offer.
